Since we've got a few characters in the bar from "Sherlock," and possibly a few others from other Holmes'verse properties lurking around, I thought it was time for a plotting comm. Welcome!
Yessss, lets do it! I'm definitely going to chuck Jim in as a rockstar (hahaha ICONS, the joy, I cannot), and totes okay with whatever you fancy with Sherlock, whether it's rival star/bandmate/journo/fan/anything at all.
And if Mycroft is a micro-managing band manager, SO MUCH THE BETTER. Jim would both be a nightmare, and be somewhat under his thumb. Ahahaha, that could only be hilarious. :D
OMG, see if you can find a clip on YouTube of the "Baby's On Fire"
sequence. The parts where they're in stage is one of the hottest things
I've ever seen.
*bounces* Let me know when you've finished it because there's another Ewan McGregor thing about it you should see, but not until you've seen the whole movie.
Well, if my vote wasn't for rockstars before, it would be now. But it already was, so that's cool. Do you actually want to set them in the 70s? because FASHION. I am all for it, but could equally go modern if you prefer. But FASHION. And eye make-up. And glitter.
There could be arguments made for either way. Bandmates where they're working together and enjoying it, or both with different styles and clashing. Which would you prefer? It's only for a week, so I vote whichever seems like a quick, fun blast.
OH GOSH I don't know! Two geniuses in one band would probably clash a lot, unless they've like just discovered how much they inspire each other? Something like that?
YES. I'm so up for that. They could be totally into how much they inspire each other - the sort of high before an inevitable crash, but a hell of a lot of fun while it lasts. :D

Velvet Goldmine AU, oh my...

Date: 2017-08-11 06:58 pm (UTC)Yay! Though I will warn you that great cinema it is not, but it's fun and interesting and really ahead of its time.
There's a charming clip from the Graham Norton show of him interviewing Ewan McGregor about it. I can find the link for you if you want.

Date: 2017-08-11 07:00 pm (UTC)Now if I can just figure out how to use GIMP to make icons (why the fuck is everything incomprehensible on Windows 10?), I will be good to go.
